Focus is an antibacterial polymer for internal infections of fish. It may be used alone or mixed with other medications to make them palatable to fish and greatly reduce the loss of medication to the water through diffusion. For use in freshwater or marine aquaria.
If you are fighting an internal parasite, pair with Metroplex on food for great results!
When mixing Focus and Metroplex (or another medication) follow this recipe:
1 scoop of Metroplex
1 scoop Focus
1 tbsp food (preferably pellets or frozen food)
A few drops of water if using a dry food
Stir together the medicated food mix before feeding. Feed the fish once daily as much as they can consume in about 1 minute. Treatment periods will vary but it is recommended to treat for at least a week. This medicated food can be refrigerated or frozen between feedings.
KanaPlex is a blended kanamycin based medication that safely and effectively treats several fungal, and bacterial fish diseases (dropsy, popeye, fin/tail rot, septicemia). Because it is absorbed by fish it is useful in treating internal infections in those situations where food is refused. It does not adversely affect the filter bed and is easily removed with carbon. When used in a medicated food mix, it is excellent for treating bacterial infections in tanks that contain invertebrates. For use in freshwater or marine aquaria.
MetroPlex is an effective and safe treatment for several protozoan and anaerobic bacterial diseases of fish (Cryptocaryon, Hexamita, Ichthyophthirius). It does not adversely affect the filter bed and is easily removed with carbon. It can either be dosed into the water or combined with Focus in a medicated food mix. It will treat both internal and external infections regardless of the delivery method. When used in a medicated food mix, it is excellent for treating parasites in tanks that contain invertebrates. MetroPlex is gentle and there little danger of overdosing.
SulfaPlex is an effective and safe treatment for many bacterial, fungal and protozoan infestations in the aquarium. While it can be used in both freshwater and saltwater, it is particularly effective against the common bacterial and fungal infections of freshwater fish. It is also among the gentler antibiotics, and great for treating fish that are already stressed. It is easily removed with carbon and does not impair nitrification.
