Kessil - A160WE Controllable LED Aquarium Light
External Controllability In addition to its enhanced manual controllability, the A160WE comes with a pair of ports that allows the fixture to be governed by external devices. This new control interface operates within a 0-10Volt DC range, making it compatible with several popular aquarium controllers. When daisy-chained in series without an external controller, the first A160 acts as the primary unit propagating its settings to all other lights in the chain.
Shimmer Kessil’s shimmer gives the look of natural sunlight in your aquatic garden that no other LEDs can reproduce.
Spectrum Kessil manufactures all LED arrays in-house using Dense Matrix technology so each unique spectral blend is custom made to meet aquarist needs. Proprietary “Double Peak” spectrum enhances photosynthetic absorption.
Penetration Patented Dense Matrix LED technology concentrates multiple LED chips into an array, creating a powerful light source with better and deeper penetration, without sacrificing coverage. E-Series LEDs are 15% brighter.
Color Mixing Different wavelengths within a single LED array are seamlessly blended before leaving the light, emitting a uniform color with widespread coverage.
Design High performance and low maintenance. Simple and compact units feature quiet operation, innovative heat management and efficient, long-lasting LED construction
TunabilityTune the spectrum and intensity for a personalized look. Kessil Logic™ maintains consistent output across the tunable spectrum.
Controllability Compatible with 0 ~ 10V external controllers such as the Kessil Spectral Controller or Apex with VDM Module. Multiple lights can be daisy-chained for control by either a single external controller or first light in chain.

Note: The Tuna Sun is intended for plant tanks, while the Tuna Blue is intended for reef tanks. The features are the same, and they look similar. The main difference being that the Tuna Sun has a green rim, while the Tuna Blue has the blue rim.
Rivers to Reef says: These fixtures put out a ton of light and are very user friendly. They don't have many of the bells and whistles of other LED lights, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. Less bells and whistles means less things to break. We love Kessils straightforward approach to lighting. Adjust the intensity (brightness) with one knob and adjust the color with the other. No matter what color is your favorite you can rest assured that your plants or coral are getting the right spectrum of light for photosynthesis. If you have a deep tank consider getting the A360 as it has more punch to get through all that water depth.
Remember, if you are switching from an older LED, fluorescent fixture (T5, T8, compact), or even a metal halide you need to acclimate your coral to your new fixture. Do not blast them at full intensity initially! Ramp up the intensity of your LED lights over time (it may be weeks or more) to get them used to the light. Let your coral tell you if the lighting is too high. You might not need to run this fixture, or any other LED fixture for that matter, at 100%.
