Shipping and Returns
In most cases, items will be shipped out within 48 hours of your order processing. If the items are on back order or if there are delays, you will be notified ASAP. Items ordered on the weekend will be processed on the next business day. Please note that in spite of our greatest efforts, we do not control the weather, government holidays, etc.. If we come across any of these delays, you will be notified immediately.
We will always do our best to satisfy our customers, but as a small business, we have some restrictions. Before buying something, please read the description of the product as well as our little blurb about how we think it works (if applicable). If you have a question that you can't seem to find and answer for, please email us at email@example.com and we will do our best to answer your question.
Returns of Defective Items: Defective items are no fun! If an item is defective, contacting the manufacturer is usually the quickest way to go. If you need help with receipts please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org. If the manufacturer is being difficult, let us know! We will do our best to step in and expedite the process, and if we cannot get things taken care of quickly, we will make things right ourselves (up to 21 days after purchase).
Returns of Damaged Items: If an item was damaged during shipping, please let us know as soon as you can. Damaged items will be replaced at no charge to you. Shipping the item back to us will be covered, but must be completed before the new item can be shipped to you. You will have 7 days after arrival to report a damaged item to us, and 14 days from date of purchase to postmark the item. Damaged items can only be exchanged for the same exact item.
Returns of "Difference of Opinion": This category is if your fish do not like a certain food you purchased, or the light is not quite the color you like. We are sorry, but we cannot accept returns for these, or similar, reasons. Please feel free to contact us at email@example.com and we might be able to help get a picky eater to eat that new food.
Returns of "Didn't need it": If the item is UNOPENED, and in its ORIGINAL packaging, and within 21 days of purchase, you can return it for a full refund. You will need to pay for shipping back to us (if the item is expensive we recommend getting insurance), and when the item is received, we will issue you a full refund for the product (sorry, shipping costs will not be refunded). If we receive the item and it has been opened or the original packaging has been severely damaged, a restocking fee of 25% of the item's value will be deducted from the refund.
